Vitamin B12 Shots

What is Vitamin B12?

Vitamin B12 (its naturally produced form is known as cobalamin), is a water-soluble vitamin that plays a vital role in many bodily functions.

It's essential for creating DNA (the genetic material in all cells), red blood cell formation, nerve and brain function, and helping the body convert food into energy.

To keep our bodies working at their optimum level, the recommended daily amount for adults is 2.4 mcg (micrograms) daily. With pregnant or breastfeeding women requiring between 2.6 and 2.8 mcg.

Some people are more susceptible to a deficiency in Vitamin B12, this includes older generations, those who follow a vegan diet, or with existing digestive disorders.
